Rama Brew #Special Guest @Afrotastic 2014


Rama Brew is a Ghanaian Veteran actress, known for popular series Ultimate Paradise,  The Most Beautiful Hour (2012), Princess Tyra 3 (2007) and Divine Love (2004) among several movies to hit the Ghanaian scene. She will be speaking on the topic natural, confidence and personality at Afrotastic 2014. Rama Brew has been relaxer free for about 15 years and has had dreadlocks for 4 years.

Meet Edith Ndabi, one of our performing artiste for Afrotastic 2014.



Miss Ndabi is a spokenword peot, a lover of words, beards and everything art. She has raced all the major peotry stages in Ghana. A natural hair sister who has covered subjects relating to women, self love and sexuality of the African woman.

Meet Abena Appiah #Performing Artiste @Afrotastic 2014

Abena Appiah was born June 2 1993 in Ghana, had her primary and part of high school education in the United States of America completing in United States of America. She currently schools at Radford University College studying fashion, her philosophy in life is “strive hard to achieve your goal no matter the circumstance”. She contested in miss Ghana 2012 and won the miss talent award. 



In the year 2013 She won top model Ghana and represented Ghana in the international pageant top model of the world held in Egypt. She also contested for X Factor and made it to the finals but due to exams she couldn’t travel to Nigeria and decided to drop out. She can be described with entertainment she love’s to entertain and love’s to be entertained, She started modeling at the age of three and discovered her music abilities at the age of nine. 



She sings, models, acts, and writes her own music. Abena plays the guitar, recorder and clarinet. Abena has released her debut single “AM THAT GIRL”. She states that this song was created after her miss Gh experience, she later released second song with video title "regulate". A New Beginning



Welcome!!!
This is the official blog for Afrotastic 2014. It’s a pleasure to bring into fruition this dream that many of us as Ghanaian naturalistas have always dreamt of. A platform for us to interact, share knowledge about our natural hair journey in Ghana and discuss not only our role but also the challenges that we face.

We will be bringing under this platform, both international and national product vendors who specialise in natural hair and accessories to display their products for purchase. Participants at the event will also benefit from free products and accessories through giveaways/tombolas.
In addition, we have a special Guest to deliver a talk on natural hair, personality and confidence. We will also enjoy spoken word and music by some of Ghana’s finest artistes.
It will be a pleasure to have your grace our event on 5th July 2014 at the YWCA from 11:00 am to 5pm. The programme schedule will be up soon.
